With a massive collection of musical instruments, Musical Instruments Museum (MIM) caters to musicians and music lovers. You can explore Belgium's musical history, European musical traditions, and non-European instruments, all of which are organized on four floors. Visit the basement for an exhibit on mechanical instruments, including clocks and bells and a componium--a 19th-century instrument that can create an infinite variety of music. The next level displays traditional instruments from around the world. Continue up for an exhibit of string and keyboard instruments. The top floor is dedicated to Adolphe Sax, a Brussels musician who invented the saxophone. Had an excellent brunch, with a huge selection of delicious food on offer. Only complaint was that they wouldn't store luggage, so we had to go to the Magritte museum to buy a locker, and there was only one glass of juice included in the €30 brunch price - I would have expected tea or coffee at least! Still highly recommend it (with a reservation!)

Very interesting! It was a surprise for me that the audioguide only plays songs but doesn't tell anything, I wish it told some stories of the instruments. However, I did not regret taking it because the experience is much more colourful when you hear what the instruments sound like. Not 5 stars because there is no English version of the text on most exhibitions.
