  • Fountain decorated by the Berlin Bear, charming place for its narrow red brick streets, there are shops, restaurants, we also saw a shop where the bears paint the bears and also has a shop.

  • The fountain was created in 1987 under the project of Gerhard Thieme (Gerhard Thieme).  The pool of the fountain has an octagonal shape and on each side there is a relief with the image of the emblem, and in each of its eight corners there is a bowl. In the middle of the fountain there is a 6-metre column topped with a bear sculpture on a square pedestal holding a coat of arms with an eagle. The bear symbolizes the city of Berlin. The fountain, erected in the oldest district of Berlin, Nikolaifirtel. Nikolaiviertel) was timed to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the city, so it is also known as Gründungsbrunnen (Fountain of the founder). The decorative lattice of wrought iron in the form of a dome delicately covers a beautiful fountain and causes nostalgia. Forged Solver was created by the blacksmith Hans-Joachim Kunsh (Hans-Joachim Künsch). The bronze chain-fencing is made by master Stefan Kushel (Stefan Kuschel).
