A short walk leads to a beautiful Monastery passing from the entrance to an arch, to get to visit a small museum and the church (with a beautiful ceiling), all adorned with colorful plants and flowers.
so beautiful place, I am recommending this place for Couples and for families you will be enjoying it every minute more »
Lovely monastery, free entry, you can contribute as much as you like at the entry. It's well kept with beautiful plants all over the place especially in spring time. The only reason why I put 4* - would be nice to have some more information about monastery itself. Unless if you have your own tour guide, you won't know secrets behind the wishing well or stories about icons.
Hard work walking up the hill in heat but worth it for the peaceful place and friendly monks. Cover up provided for ladies shoulders and legs but the first place I have ever been asked to remove my hat before entering a church! Interesting ancient olive press, religious museum, two small shops for souvenirs. Good reasonably priced refreshments outside monastery entrance where the monks were taking their mid morning drink too.
