ISKCON Vrindavan, Vrindavan

4.7
Visit ISKCON Vrindavan, a thriving spiritual center for the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. On a daily basis, pilgrims from around the world and nearby Delhi flock to the center to worship. The founder of ISKCON, Srila Prabhupada, chose to build the temple in 1975 to give strength to his devotees. It was purposely built on a site where Supreme Lord Sri Krishna and his brother Balaram spent much time over 5,000 years ago. Explore the bustling temple, which has three altars, and admire the bright white marble architecture and the intricately carved walls. For a real treat, head to the temple before sunrise and watch the dancing and chanting as the sun comes up. With 30 departments, including a guesthouse, museum, book stalls, and a restaurant, you can easily spend a decent amount of time at the temple.
