The allure of the multi-cultural capital, Brussels, stems from its mix of political intrigue, artistic influence, historical significance, and a thriving social scene.

Get in touch with nature at Te Boelaerpark and Sint-Annastrand. Popular historic sites such as Grand Place and Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert are in your itinerary. When in Brussels, make a side trip to see Sunset Beach in Antwerp, approximately Antwerp away. There's lots more to do: see the interesting displays at Atomium, take a stroll through Place St. Gery, head outdoors with Piscine L'Espadon, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral (Cathedrale St-Michel et Ste-Gudule).

Sibiu, Romania to Brussels is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. You'll gain 1 hour traveling from Sibiu to Brussels due to the time zone difference. While traveling from Sibiu, expect little chillier days and about the same nights in Brussels, ranging from highs of 25°C to lows of 14°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Bruges.

You can drive from Brussels to Bruges in 1.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or take a bus. In August, daily temperatures in Bruges can reach 25°C, while at night they dip to 15°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 24th (Sat) to allow time for travel back home.
