Often described as the city of laptops and lederhosen, Munich is an international center of business, engineering, research, and medicine that still maintains a rich cultural heritage and age-old traditions.Step off the beaten path and head to Altstadt von Fuessen and Herrenchiemsee New Palace. Hannover, northern Germany's major urban center, may be best known for hosting annual commercial trade fairs.Start off your visit on the 1st (Fri): walk around Eilenriede - Park, steep yourself in history at Altes Rathaus, then steep yourself in history at Aegidienkirche, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Marktkirche, and finally appreciate the history behind Luther statue. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: step into the grandiose world of Marienburg Castle, explore the different monuments and memorials at Lindener Bergfriedhof, and then contemplate the waterfront views at Maschsee.
