Start off your visit on the 28th (Tue): pause for some serene contemplation at Santa Maria in Trastevere and then delve into the distant past at Colosseum. On your second day here, steep yourself in history at St. Peter's Basilica, then make a trip to Piazza Navona, then delve into the distant past at Pantheon, and finally make a trip to Trevi Fountain.
