Beach · Nature / Park
Overlooked by an impressive medieval castle, Harlech Beach features coarse golden sand backed by sand dunes. Lapped by gentle surf, the beach is the perfect place for taking long walks, windsurfing, and swimming--just beware of the strong currents near the Glaslyn estuary at the north end of the beach. Amenities include public restrooms, parking, and an ice-cream van in the summer. From the nearby attractions, you might consider visiting the World Heritage-listed Harlech Castle or the internationally renowned Royal St David's Golf Club.
