St. James Garlickhythe is a Church of England parish church in Vintry ward of the City of London, nicknamed "Wren’s lantern" owing to its profusion of windows.

Recorded since the 12th century, the church was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666 and rebuilt by the office of Sir Christopher Wren. It is also the official church of eleven City livery companies.

  • What a dear and welcoming congregation! The liturgy is straight from the English BCP; so, a little different than many Church of England parishes that update the order of worship. This difference, combined with the confidence and warmth the priest brought to the service made it fresh. The music was exceptional--the organ is very historic, and well upkept. the parish is deeply historic and the building itself us a Christopher Wren, predating his work on the nearby St. Paul's.
  • The Christean Dior exhibition was amazing for the designs and the history of Dior with those that has maintained his name even after his death
