Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum is the largest tennis museum in the world, hosting exhibits and artifacts dating from 1555 to today. Trace the game’s evolution from a garden party pastime to a multimillion-dollar professional sport played all over the world. Admire treasures from the first Championship in 1877 to the most recent, including equipment, clothing, trophies, and mementos belonging to the greatest players to set foot on Centre Court. Meet the "ghost" of the legend John McEnroe (created with the latest in projection and filming technology) in the very changing room he once used. Listen to him reminisce about the dressing room, his legendary opponents, and how he would prepare himself for matches. Take in the atmosphere of Centre Court from the viewing platform CentreCourt360, and take a guided tour behind the scenes of the All England Lawn Tennis Club. Audio guides are also available. If driving to the museum, allow yourself plenty of time to get there in London’s notorious traffic. Absolutely loved the Tour of Wimbledon. It's amazing to see the courts and all the action. The guide was fantastic and gave us all the information related to Tennis, it's history, iconic games and matches etc. The gift shop too has some really awesome unique items that one will enjoy as a Tennis enthusiast!
My husband is a big tennis fan and was like a kid in a candy shop on our tour of Wimbledon! Our tour guide, Richard and his assistant, Emily were great! I was riding an electric scooter and they were very helpful.
