Experience the splendor of over 150 birds of prey at Hawk Conservancy Trust. Set on 9 hectares (22 acres) of open meadow, the conservancy boasts a large visitor’s center, research facilities, and a hospital, all dedicated to the protection and rehabilitation of large birds. Get up close to one of the birds at an interactive handling session, or attend a heron and red kite feed to learn more about their eating habits. Stop by the restaurant for a cup of coffee or a lunch made from locally sourced goods. To plan Andover vacation without wasting time, ask Inspirock to design an itinerary.

An amazing place with very dedicated and passionate staff, which comes across in the fantastic flying displays of the birds in their care. This was our fourth visit since 2010 and we will continue to.... more »

Don't know how I found out about the place, but so glad I did. Despite the awful weather today we had an interesting & informative day that was well worth getting wet for. Staff were all knowledgeable, cheerful & very nice. Whilst I might not have left totally "loving" vultures yet, we certainly appreciate their role in the food chain, and their precarious position in the current state of our world. We certainly don't think badly of them any more. We did however love the owls & the secretary bird was a particular favourite. We watched 2 flying shows & went to the owl experience. The restaurant sold good, well priced food. Can highly recommend the Hawk Conservancy as a great place to visit. Our grandson thoroughly enjoyed & we are already planning a revisit in autumn. I am planning to visit the midnight owl evening as well. Thank you all for a memorable day.
I love the Hawk Conservancy, I have now visited 3 times and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good day out. There are flying displays throughout the day, each one very different so be sure to attend all of them. In the flying displays, they try to bring the birds close to the audience so you really get to see them. As well as the displays, there are various feeds and talks to keep you busy all day. For adults, there is also the chance to fly a Harris hawk at no extra cost, I would recommend doing this. Whilst bones of the displays and talks are on, you can wander the site looking in the aviaries at the large collection of birds here. There is also an activity trail for children and a play park. You certainly won't run out of things to do. The staff at the trust are all very friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable and can answer all your questions about the birds of prey. Within the center is a birds of prey hospital. There are a few peek holes so you can see some of the birds recently brought in that are strengthening up so they are ready to be released again.
