Atlantikwall Raversyde
Admire the preserved World War I and II fortifications in their original condition at Atlantikwall Raversyde. The Atlantic wall was a defense system built mostly by the Nazis during World War II to protect against the Allied forces. The museum's portion of the wall includes 2 km (1.24 mi) of trenches and 60 bunkers. Exhibits include World War II propaganda, dioramas, and photographs, as well as a cinema that screens documentaries. There are also activities for children including a treasure hunt through the museum. Be prepared for a lot of walking, as this museum covers a lot of ground, and be sure to bring an umbrella rain is in the forecase, as many of the museum's focal elements are outdoors. Work out when and for how long to visit Atlantikwall Raversyde and other Ostend attractions using our handy Ostend travel route planner.

From the historical point of view, there are no comments. Ii just missed a place to buy a water or a soda, before or after starting the trip. I felt like i will die of thirst after a 2 hours visit...

An outstanding site to visit, with restored bunkers and weapons/artillery in very good condition. The site’s website doesn’t do it justice as it consists of First and Second World War restorations...

This is very good. The site was used in both World Wars. Friendly staff. There are lockers for your bags. The site is quite large and allow at least 1h30 for your visit. Everything is well preserved and the audio guide is very good and useful. Very interesting display outside of panoramic photos of the coast taken in Summer 1945. The tram stops right outside.
