Sandycove Beach, Dublin

I love to go for a swimming in this place, the water is brilliant, not cold as I expected! If the weather is nice can be very busy and the perfect place to jump to the water too. You can park around the area and walk to the beach.

Cracking spot when the tide is in as the kids can jump off the walls. Plenty of lifeguards about too. You could swear you were abroad here it’s so picturesque. The James Joyce Martello tower is located here and around the corner is the Forty Foot bathing spot. Only one pay to use public toilet nearby. Parking in this area is hell on a super sunny day. There’s usually a stall that sells drinks, snacks and buckets and spades when the weather is great. Also on a good day the seals will be basking on the rocks soaking up the sun.
