A convenient place to start your exploration of Ireland's oldest national park, Torc Waterfall offers panoramic views of the region's three interlinked lakes. You can reach the base of the waterfall via a short trail through a densely wooded area, covered in moss and known for attracting herds of native red deer. This waterfall is an important natural landmark on one of the country's major long-distance walks, a 214 km (133 mi) long circular trail that begins and ends in the nearby town of Killarney. You can access this popular trail by ascending a series of steps just to the left of the waterfall. To see the fall at its full glory, visit after a heavy rain. Really lovely! It’s not the biggest waterfall, but the loop walks around are absolutely gorgeous. We went on a rainy day and it was still really enjoyable. There is a very steep hill at the beginning.... more

We took a Jaunty ride to the falls. Our driver Patrick was full of history and love for this beautiful place that he shared with us. He made it a fun educational experience.

Fantastic place to visit. We took the hour walk around the forest seeing the waterfall half way around. Parked in the top car park and walked down to the lake and back up past the waterfall to the top again. Steep climb but if you just want to see the waterfall, park at the bottom car park and its just a short walk. Views are fantastic as you ascend though.

An ideal little spot to see another beautiful part of Killarney and take in the sights. It's not just the waterfall that's the attraction, but the walk/mini hike around the wooded area too.
