Founded in 1857, Science Museum is one of the city’s major attractions, with nearly three million visitors each year. The museum holds an impressive collection of over 300,000 items, including the first jet engine, the oldest surviving steam locomotive, and the first prototype of the famous Clock of the Long Now, a mechanical clock designed to keep time for over 10,000 years. See hundreds of interactive exhibits, or visit the IMAX 3-D movie theater, which screens science and nature documentaries. Visit the Exploring Space gallery to see the story of human space exploration or time your trip for a "Science Night," a regular all-night special event allowing guests to spend the night inside the galleries, sleeping among the exhibits. Visit in January. We spend there 5 hours and still didn’t go through everything. We got stuck in 3rd floor with interactive science! Absolutely amazing.

This place is great. The museum has some cool and interesting things. Children and adults all will have something to their liking and will definitely have a good time. It is recommended that tickets be bought online beforehand to avoid last minute chaos. For those wondering, the tickets are free! There are cafes if you need refreshments and of course pay a visit to the gift/souvenirs shop for some cool memorabilia. You will easily spend 2 hours or more so be prepared and make your plans accordingly. Have a good time!

Absolutely spectacular day. This place is massive and it took me a whole afternoon to get round it. Lots to see and learn. Great learning place for children. It has 2 little cafes and rest rooms. The shop for souvenirs is, also great. Top place and completely free. I booked in advance online.
