Create an itinerary including The View from The Shard
Go to the top of western Europe's tallest building for one of the best panoramas of London. The View from The Shard occupies floors 68, 69, and 72, some 244 m (800 ft) up the 310 m (1,016 ft) building. You can reach the viewing platform--which is about twice the height of the next-highest viewing platform in the city--via one of two high-speed elevators. From here, you'll have 360-degree views up to 64 km (40 mi) away. Pre-purchase your tickets on the venue's website to avoid waiting in line at the entrance, and to save on the price of admission. • Breathtaking views. I recommend having Tea at the Shard so that you can combine two amazing experiences at once.

  • Well worth going, especially on a bright day. Wished we'd taken binoculars though. Staff were all very nice and helpful. I got a good deal buying voucher in advance which included champagne. We had some food there too as it wasn't too expensive. One final thought, very young children perhaps shouldn't be allowed (there was a screaming child who didn't want to be there).
  • Decent experience, views were as expected. Windows haven’t been cleaned on the outside in a while though. Decent internal items like flower walls to take pics and had ample seating. There was no rush while upstairs. Ordered ice cream cone (£4.5)and there was a long hair dug deep into ice cream, they replaced and gave extra scoop. Tasted nice and variety of flavours, surprisingly I liked the bubblegum, not usually a fan. Two floors had different feels, which was good, one with piano. Upon exit, the standard photo package to buy which uses green screen offers one decent backdrop and another with a backdrop with no landmarks, you have to pay extra to pick a different backdrop. Didn’t like. Bought the basic package of photos.
